What Your Submission Status Means

After you upload a report, the assignment shows a status for it. Some statuses are progress reports and need nothing from you. Others are the system waiting on you, and the assignment will not move until you act.
This page lists every status you can see, what it means, and what to do.
Where to find it: the Report tile on the assignment page shows the current status, and Report Details opens the full submission page with each step broken out. See Uploading Your Report.
One thing that catches people out
On the assignment tile, two of the statuses below display as Action Required rather than by name. Those are Acknowledgement Required and Override Required. If you see Action Required on the tile, open Report Details to find out which of the two it is.
While the file is going up

| Uploading Report | The file is still transferring. | Wait. Do not close or reload the page — that cancels the upload. |
| Upload Failed | The file did not finish uploading and was never submitted. | Upload it again. The tile button reads Re-upload. |
Waiting on checks
| Status | What it means | What to do |

| Waiting for QC Review | The automated QC review has not finished yet. | Nothing. It usually takes a few minutes. |
| QC Results Ready | QC review found items that need a response before the report can go on. | Open Report Details and either Acknowledge each item with an explanation, or Cancel Submission and upload a corrected report. See Report QC Review. |
If QC review sits unfinished for more than fifteen minutes, the page offers a Contact Support button. Use it rather than waiting longer.
On its way to the GSE

Something is waiting on you
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Acknowledgement Required | The GSE or HUD returned feedback you have to review and accept. | Open Report Details and click Acknowledge on each item. If the button is disabled, there are still unresolved errors above it that have to be cleared first. |
| Override Required | The submission hit hard stops that only the lender can override. | Try to correct the report and re-upload. If you cannot, use Request Override and explain why. See Request Report Error Override. |
| Rejected by GSE/HUD | The GSE or HUD refused the submission outright. | Upload a corrected report, or use Request Manual Upload to ask the lender to submit it for you. See Request Manual Report Submission. |
Both requests need a written explanation of at least a few sentences, and both post a note to the lender at the same time. You can only request either one on your most recent submission.
Waiting on the lender

Revisions

| Revision Requested | The lender has asked for changes to a report you already delivered. | Upload the revised report. The tile button reads Upload Revision. See Revision Requests on Completed Reports. |
An item tagged ROV on a revision is a reconsideration of value rather than an ordinary correction. See Reconsideration of Value (ROV) Requests.
Finished or stopped
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Submission Complete | Everything was resolved and the submission is done. | Nothing. |
| Submission Cancelled | The submission was stopped before it completed, usually because someone chose Cancel Submission in QC review to replace the report. | Upload the corrected report. Acknowledge buttons stay disabled until you do. |
