Tasks: Everything You Need to Know
Updated
Tasks make it easy to stay organized, keep your profile up to date, and never miss an important update. Here’s a quick guide to managing them.
Where to Find Your Tasks?
- Tasks Page: Go to your Tasks to see everything you need to do.
- Email Alerts: Anytime a new task is assigned, you’ll get an email with a direct link to it.
What Are Tasks?
Tasks are reminders and updates that help keep your profile active and ready for new assignments. They may include:
- Insurance review – Renew or correct your insurance before it lapses. See How to Update Your Insurance Information.
- Licence review – Add, renew or fix a licence that needs attention. See Adding and Verifying an Appraisal License.
- New report type – A lender has added a report type and you can choose whether to take it. This is not an assignment, and you can close it with Complete Task if it is not work you do. See Select Report Types You Work With.
- SMS setup – A prompt to switch on and verify text notifications. Only the account holder can verify their own number, so an administrator opening this task for someone else can only close it. See Offer Notifications via SMS.
- Email delivery paused – Your address has stopped accepting our email and needs clearing. See Troubleshooting Email and SMS Delivery.
- News & updates – New features and changes in Dwelling Blocks.
Example: Update Insurance
If your insurance is expiring or expired, a task will help you to resolve it quickly:
- Open the insurance task.
- Update your insurance details by uploading your Insurance file or entering it manually.
- Click “Update & Complete” to finish. The task is marked complete, and your profile stays active for new assignments.
Snoozing a Task
If a task is not actionable yet, open it and choose Snooze task from the three-dot menu, then pick a date. The task disappears from your open list and comes back on that date.
Nothing is sent while a task is snoozed — no email, no reminder — so use a date you will actually be ready on.
Tasks Assigned to Someone Else
A task can sit with a particular person at your company, and the list shows who holds it.
Completing a task that belongs to a colleague quietly moves it to you first, and it is then recorded as completed by you. Assign task to me in the three-dot menu does the same thing without completing it. Neither action asks for confirmation, so check the assignee before you click if that matters to your company.
Finding Tasks Later
The Tasks page defaults to open tasks sorted by due date. Switch Status to Closed to see finished ones, and use the Assignee filter to narrow to your own. There is a CSV export if you need the list outside the platform.
