How to Update Your Insurance Information
Updated
Keeping your insurance information up to date is very important! This ensures you meet requirements and avoid any service interruptions. Here’s a simple guide on how to update your insurance details.
The Insurance Information card is on your Profile page.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Click the "Update" Button
- On the top right of the Insurance Information card, click the Update button.
- A form will appear where you can upload, enter or edit your insurance details.
2. Upload the Policy, or Enter the Details
The quickest route is to drag your policy document onto the upload area. A PDF or image up to 4.5MB is read automatically, and the carrier, policy number, coverage amount and expiration date are filled in for you. Check them before saving.
If the document cannot be read you will see Couldn't extract insurance information, and you can type the details in instead.
3. Or Enter Your Insurance Details by Hand
- Carrier: Enter the name of your insurance provider.
- Policy Number: Type in your policy number exactly as it appears on your insurance documents.
- Coverage Amount: Specify the amount of coverage you have.
- Expiration Date: Enter the expiration date of your policy to ensure your coverage is current.
4. Save Your Changes
- After entering all the required information, click Update to confirm your changes.
Why Each Item Is Important
- Carrier: Identifies which company provides your insurance.
- Policy Number: Allows quick verification of your coverage.
- Coverage Amount: Shows you meet the required insurance limits.
- Expiration Date: Ensures your insurance is active and not expired.
Expiry Reminders
You do not have to track the expiry date yourself. When your insurance is close to expiring, Dwelling Blocks emails you and opens a task on your account, so you can renew and upload the new details before the policy lapses.
Quick Tips
- Review your insurance information regularly, especially before it expires.
- Update your details immediately if you renew or change your policy.
- Double-check all entries for accuracy to avoid delays or issues.
Remember:
Each item in your insurance information is very important. Keeping this section up to date helps you stay compliant and ensures there are no interruptions in your service or assignments!
