Lender Connections
Updated
The Lender Connections page, located under Company Settings, allows you to manage your connections with lenders who use the Dwelling Blocks platform. Through this page, you can view lenders you are currently connected with as well as those with whom you are eligible to connect.
This is the company-level connection. Once the company is connected, each user still requests their own connection to that lender and is approved individually — see How to Connect to the Lender Panel.
What the statuses mean
Each lender on the page carries a status, and you can filter the list by it.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Connected | Connected and ready to receive orders. |
| Invitation Sent | You asked to join and the lender has not answered yet. |
| Invitation Received | The lender invited you and is waiting on you. Nothing happens until you accept. |
| Not Connected | No request either way. You can ask to join. |
| Suspended | The connection exists but is not active. Contact the lender. |
Invitation Received is the one to watch. A lender can approach you rather than the other way round, and that invitation sits there until someone at your company accepts it. It is the most common reason a company wonders why orders never started.
Connecting with a Lender
If you see a lender listed that you are not yet connected with but wish to join their panel:
- Click the 3 dots in the top-right corner of that lender’s listing.
- Select Request to Join.
Your request will be sent to the lender for approval. Once your company is connected, you can request and remove panel connections for your own users with that lender.
Accepting an invitation from a lender
When the status reads Invitation Received, the lender has already approved your company and is waiting for you.
- Open the lender from the Lender Connections page.
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select Accept the invitation and start receiving orders.
The status changes to Connected straight away. Each user at your company still requests their own connection afterwards — see How to Connect to the Lender Panel.
If the actions are greyed out
These actions need the Manage source companies permission. Without it the menu is disabled and names the permission you are missing. Ask an administrator at your company, or see Custom Roles & Permissions.
Stopping work with a lender
To leave a panel as a company, open the lender from the Lender Connections page, click the three dots in the top-right corner, and select Stop working with ….
Before you do, make sure every user under your company agrees and that there are no pending orders — leaving with work in progress is what causes problems during the transition.
Your account and its activity history stay available for reference afterwards; nothing is deleted.
Eligibility for Other Lender Panels
If there are additional lenders on the Dwelling Blocks platform who are eligible to work with your company, they will appear on the Lender Connections page. Follow the same steps to request joining their panels by clicking the 3 dots in the top-right corner and selecting Request to Join.
This setup allows you to easily manage and expand your lender connections, giving everyone at your company more opportunities to receive assignments.
