Deactivating or Removing an Account
Updated
If you are leaving Dwelling Blocks, there are two ways to close things down, depending on your role at your company. Before either one, read the checks under Before you go at the end of this article.
If you only need time away rather than to leave, use Vacation Mode instead — see Taking a Break or Stopping Work for the options.
Ask an administrator to remove you
Only an administrator at your company can remove a user from the account. Ask them to open your User Profile, click the three dots in the top right, and select Remove. The steps are in Adding, Editing and Removing Users.
If you are the owner or the only administrator
When there is no other administrator to remove you, deactivate your profile yourself:
- Open your profile details page.
- Switch Available for assignments off.
With it off, you no longer receive assignment offers or the notifications that go with them. See How to Enable "Available for Assignments" for where the toggle is.
Before you go
- Complete every open assignment. Work in progress does not transfer, and an unfinished order is what causes problems for the lender.
- Pending payments are still paid. Anything already earned continues to be processed through Stripe on the normal schedule. See When and How You Get Paid.
- Do not disconnect Stripe as a way of leaving. Disconnecting pauses assignments and holds payouts for the whole company, not just for you. See Connecting Your Bank Account.
If you are moving to a different company and will keep working on Dwelling Blocks, see Starting a New Account When You Already Have One.
